Quite simply this is the accounts you have with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc. If you are over 40 and have children, this is where they live when not either eating your food or asking for money.
Google considers anything that makes your site more interesting a web asset, and will give you brownie points accordingly. So it’s a good idea – if you haven’t already done so – to head off to Facebook and Twitter to start off with, create a business page, and start posting fascinating articles about you or your business, or tweeting comments that you hope will interest people.
As with anything relating to computers, you could try asking your 10 year old child who will be a mine of information. Boys more than girls. It might cost help with homework or extra pocket money, but would be worth it in the long run.
Alternatively you could get someone like Tate Web Design to help you, we charge £100 for setting up a Facebook page, and would ask you to pretty much provide the content.
Definitely, but on one condition: you take the trouble to post content to your pages on a regular basis, say once a week minimum. If you can’t do this yourself then you can outsource it – drop us a line or give us a call and we’ll tell you how much this would cost, and what it would involve.
