The villa is built on the site of a 12th century monastery, where weary
pilgrims quenched their thirst (the name Beoulaygues is Occitaine for 'good
water'). You might prefer the local wine to the water, but villa Beoulaygues
still has the peace and tranquillity enjoyed by travellers from centuries
past."
This site went live 9th December 2004 so it will be interesting to see how
well it does. I have great hopes as I'm sure that as soon as people hear
about this stunning venue they will be queuing up - huge 4.5 acre garden,
beautiful surrounding countryside with rivers to canoe on, lakes to sail
on, even the mountains are only an hour away for skiers in the winter or
walkers in the summer. Add to that an area steeped in history and a wide
choice of restaurants on your doorstep, and I think the owner Iain Robson
will be fighting them off !
