- JapaneseKimonos.co.uk
Web design & optimisation - web hosting - eCommerce - link building - site analytics
I like this website as it is a good example of how the Internet can help small businesses with little money to spare on marketing.
Young Hee had a stall at Merton Abbey Mills Market selling Japanese goods and kimonos. At first the website showed her full range of goods which didn't work particularly well, but then we concentrated on her range of kimonos, implemented a small linking campaign, and the site is now getting about 1000 unique visitors a month. Once a steady stream of orders started coming in Young Hee decided to put a shopping cart to simplify the ordering process, which is working well.
The website needs to show the quality and design of the different kimonos for customers to buy online without having to ask for a catalogue.
If you click "japanese kimonos" you will see she comes 1st on Google. This brings Young Hee one or two extra orders per week, which makes a significant difference to her turnover.
- Compandben.com
Web design & optimisation - web hosting - site analytics
This International Human Resources company based in Geneva, Switzerland, has successfully changed the website offering in line with demand. We started with the idea of offering a paid for knowledge base, which had limited success. Once John realised we were getting a lot of interest in his International Payroll Services we made a feature of this on the website, and soon were achieving top rankings on Google. Now if you search for anything to do with Payroll on the web John normally comes up top, and we are getting a steady stream of about 600 unique visitors a month.
- Team-sport.co.uk
Web design & optimisation - web hosting - link building - site analytics
Team Sport are the largest indoor karting company in the UK. Their old website was somewhat lacklustre and didn't reflect their position as market leader, so we have built them a Flash website which has the energy and excitement associated with go karting, and in order that they can be found by the search engines we have built a parallel HTML site full of keyword rich pages.
- Unmodlondon.co.uk
London agent specialising in unmodernised propertiesTry clicking "unmodernised properties" and you will see that this site comes up once again 1st, and 2nd on Google.
This brings Unmod London a steady stream of both buyers and sellers.
- Gourmetcatering.co.uk
is a good example of a start up website which has made full use of the internet. Thierry Swyndau is a French chef who has been working in London as in-house caterer for Trinity House, and as a caterer for corporate functions, weddings, private parties etc. He didn't really believe that his website would bring him extra business, but decided to have a go.
Shortly after his site went live he started receiving enquiries, and phoned me to ask whether I had been sending test emails! On discovering that these were real enquiries from real customers he soon got over his surprise and got down to work. After 6 months Google brought in their infamous Florida algorithm and Thierry dropped out of sight in the rankings, and the orders almost dried up.
We worked together to put this right by creating a linking strategy and subscribing to Google Adwords, and soon Gourmet Catering was back in the top listings and back in business.
